The Terrace is looking for an enthusiastic sustainability professional for a strategy consultant position at an agency that is 100% committed to positive change. You will seize the opportunity to work on various ESG and sustainability projects with national and international clients and will take action with them on sustainable impact. You will do this together with an ambitious & dynamic team in the heart of Amsterdam. As a team, we inspire clients to put sustainability at the heart of their strategy, and to inspire and activate their stakeholders through strong communication. This way, they take on their role as drivers of the new economy.

Who we are

We are growing fast and are looking for reinforcement to be the best agency in our class! As The Terrace, we support our clients to boost positive change in their organisation and sector. We combine extensive knowledge of complex sustainability challenges at corporate and sector level with the talent to translate that into meaningful strategies and implementation. We develop expertise on strategy, stakeholder engagement, reporting and communication, to engage people on all fronts towards sustainability.

We believe that companies are the best levers for positive change. We help them with this transformation. This doesn’t happen overnight; often we are involved for a long period. We always put maximum effort into developing strategies which are not only successful in the short term but are also future-proof. Basically, everything we do revolves around one central question: “What is the best thing you can do with your brand/organisation?” With this question we create value for the planet, society and our clients.

The Terrace has experience with clients in a wide range of sectors, but has a focus on food & agriculture, fashion & textiles, the energy transition and the circular economy. In the last 12 years, we have worked for more than 145 clients, ranging from large international companies and SMEs to NGOs and the Dutch government. We are proud to contribute to positive change with stakeholders such as Albert Heijn, A.S. Watson, ASICS, Action, De Vegetarische Slager, Port of Amsterdam, UTZ / Rainforest Alliance, Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, Beter Leven keurmerk, Tony’s Chocolonely, MVO Nederland, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many others.

As an agency, we have a close network with media, NGOs, stakeholder platforms and specialised professionals. We are a certified B Corp and as a service provider on the B Corp Way platform we also help other companies in Europe to become certified.
